Hayley Jade

Hayley Jade felt a strong connection to music from a young age. During many long and quiet evenings on the various farms she worked on around the world, Hayley found herself often alone with a small travel guitar for company. Inspired by the beauty of her surroundings, she began to make music that felt right in the wild spaces she was so drawn to and began to hone her skills as a songwriter.

With some encouragement from friends in Cape Town, Hayley Jade began playing at bars and small festivals around the town. She then seized the opportunity to record some of her own original music with the help of some friends.

Free spirited and adventure loving, she enjoys the way that music connects her with people and places. Hayley’s recently released single ‘Salt’ was written during lockdown, where she reconnected to old feelings of isolation in a beautiful space once again.

Justin John, a fellow musician (who we also featured right here on DSV) had this to say:

“Hayley Jade is one of the most natural musicians I have met. Her subtle voice, whistles and words make her a truly unique artist”. Justin John
